The ORAL-B Genius is an intelligent toothbrush and app helps the user improve their brushing. The app is available in 100+ markets and 50+ languages. I contributed to this project by designing the detailed wireframes/specification guide for the activity and bluetooth pairing screens and designing the visuals for wherever the team had gaps.

UX Design

I was 1 of 5 UX designers that contributed in creating an experience that empowers the user to take charge of their brushing habits. Below are some examples of the detailed wireframes and specification annotations for the activity summary screens. It was important that the user could review their brushing session at a glance or in detail from when they bought their smart toothbrush.

Visual Design

I helped the lead visual designer wherever he needed the help whether it was for creating animations or screens in Photoshop. Below are some visual design examples of Oral-B Me Sign up and FunZone screens. FunZone is a gamification and social experience that makes brushing fun for people of all ages.

Design QA

Towards an approaching software deadline I helped out the team with any ad hoc tasks, jumping into tasks started but incomplete. I tested and audited the quality of the visuals and motion design, and communicated bugs and inconsistencies.

Notification Strategy

I contributed to the overall push notification strategy for users that opted in. It was extremely important that we didn’t annoy the user with frequency of the messages and the personality and tone of the messages were consistent throughout the experience.
